Kim Murphy, MD Pathologist
President and Chairman of the Board
Dr. Murphy has been practicing pathology for 25 years and is a Board-Certified Pathologist in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty qualification in Blood Banking. He received his M.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1981, and completed his residency in pathology at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis in 1985. He received his special qualification in Blood Banking while serving as Medical Director of the transfusion service in the United States Air Force at Lackland AFB, Texas. After serving in the USAF, Dr. Murphy went into private practice in Pathology at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas in 1995. He served as Medical Director of Transfusion Services at Baptist Medical Center in addition to performing a full range of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services. He has been with the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas since 2008 and serves as Laboratory Medical Director at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas. Dr. Murphy is a member of the Texas Society of Pathologists, College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the American Association of Blood Banks.
Greg Ingle
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Ingle brings over 15 years of Information Technology and Healthcare experience to CLC, ranging from project management and product development to sales, marketing, and executive functions. Mr. Ingle has worked on complex database projects for the Unites States Department of Defense, US Customs, and Fortune 500 clients such as Dow Agro Science and Eli Lilly. Mr. Ingle turned his site to healthcare in 2011 and was at the forefront of the private practice EMR revolution, where he helped develop and implement several EMR platforms. Mr. Ingle was instrumental in taking his previous company, Kareo to the Forbes List as one of “America’s Most Promising Companies” in 2012 and 2013. As the Chief Executive Officer of Clinical Laboratory Consulting, LLC™, he oversees a staff of 70 consulting Pathologists, PhD’s, and Medical Technologists.
Phillip Gibbs, PhD
Chief Science Officer
Dr. Gibbs is an experienced biochemist and NRCC certified Toxicological Chemist. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Minor in Psychology, then earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering at University of Houston in 2001. He performed his Postdoctoral Fellowship with the School of Chemical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA from March 2001 to June 2003, where he managed the laboratory and projects involving development of novel high-throughput screening methods, phage display, and directed evolution of enzymes for biocatalysis. Dr. Gibbs currently serves as the Managing Director at Decima Diagnostics, LLC in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Gibbs founded the Stheno Corporation in Atlanta, GA, where he served as the Chief Science Officer (2003 to 2009) and developed analytical instrumentation for chiral analysis. From 1991-1994, he worked as a Research Engineer with Energy Biosystems Corporation (later ENCHIRA) in The Woodlands, TX. There, he developed a microbial biodesulfurization process for the petrochemical industry. Dr. Gibbs has also worked at Enmatix, Inc. in Kennesaw, GA as a Senior Research Scientist responsible for managing analytical core lab and developing/licensing new technology related to potential biorefinery product streams, and with Sigma-Aldrich Corporation as a Field Applications Specialist (2011 to 2014).
He has multiple publications in journals such as Protein Expression and Purification and Biotechnology Progress, and has acquired 10 patents for biochemical techniques. Dr. Gibbs’ honors include the Georgia Institute of Technology Business Plan Competition finalist, February, 2003; William H. Peterson Award for Best Poster Presentation. American Chemical Society, Division of Biochemical Technology, Mar.ch 30, 2000; Sigma Xi Research Award 1999 & 2000; and Shell Scholar 1997-2000.
Kathy Braniff, MT (ASCP), MBA
Director of Compliance Services, Project Manager
Kathy has worked in the clinical laboratory field since 1979. She received her medical technologist training from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Medical Technology in Dayton, OH and her Bachelor of Science Degree from The College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, OH in 1980. Her master’s degree was earned from the Mendoza School of Business at the University Of Notre Dame in 1998. Most of her professional career has been spent working at the South Bend Medical Foundation in South Bend, Indiana where she rose to assume the role of Manager of Laboratory Services at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Her laboratory management career has continued with hospital based leadership opportunities through Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Honolulu HI, Central Kansas Medical Center (through Aureus Medical Staffing), Great Bend, Kansas; and Dunn Memorial Hospital, Bedford, IN and DCL Medical Laboratories of Indianapolis.
Michael Parson
Information Technology
Michael Parson is an Executive Level IT consultant with over 18 years of experience in Project Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Branding, UI interfaces, Web systems Analyst, and Data Management. He has lead and implemented projects in the Data Management space for Fortune 500 Companies such as Eli Lilly, Emerson Process Management, and JDSU. Michael’s specialization is both functional and technical in the IT arena with scoping and management of large integration projects.
